Compete Harder, Care More!

Congrats Coach Hawk

Eastlake Baseball Club President Mark Hawksworth has been chosen by the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association as the 2014 State Assistant Coach of the Year.

When I told a couple of past players he won the award here are their responses:

  • “Coach Hawksworth has done a lot for me both on and off the field, teaching me more than just the game of baseball. He is well deserving of this award for the effort he puts in with all the players that are fortunate to learn from him”
  • “Coach Hawk has been great to me, he taught me how to be the pitcher I am today. He is a great guy and I was so lucky to have the opportunity to learn from him and know his as well as I do today.”
  • “Playing for Coach Hawksworth was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Not only for his vast amount of baseball knowledge, but also for the support he has provided me over the years. Coach Hawk has been around the game for years and provides his players with exceptional coaching from his years of experience. He has coached me ever since I was 12 and he is the person that is most responsible for my improvements over the years. The best part about his coaching is that he guides the players through the process but then allows his players to make their own breakthroughs. He also develops the players mental attitudes so that if they are struggling on the mound they are able to fix their issues and still be successful. All of these things that his players use throughout their baseball careers but will also be able to take these skills through their professional careers. I am very thankful for everything that Coach Hawk has done for me and I know that I am a better person for being one of his players.”
